Permitting
A building permit establishes legal permission to start your construction project in accordance with approved drawings and specification. Be sure to contact your local building department to discuss plans to build. Pending the state and municipal jurisdiction and their requirements, permitting your building project should be successful but will involve a step by step process that will usually include some of these steps:

Permits will typically be required for new buildings, electrical systems, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. You may want to rely on your design/build contractor, engineer of record or architect to facilitate permitting
