Design Process
During the design phase, you will want to achieve these goals:
- Identify immediate and future needs
- Develop your design team members
- Select designers and/or engineer of record
- Create concept design
- Establish cost estimate
- Confirm construction timetable
- Define detailed design and ongoing design development
MBMA released a continuing education course, Creative Design Alternatives Using Metal Building Systems, which investigates the design potential to create low-rise, non-residential buildings of all types that use metal building packages or metal building components integrated with traditional construction.
